Well, it is almost April fool, but cuts in science funding is no fool!
Mr Trump, so-called president of USA, has projected an unprecedented budget cut of NIH funding by 20%, i.e. SIX BILLION DOLLARS
! UK funding of research will be smashed to pieces by BREXIT
. Italian funding for research and science is dismal, so no news there. But even Mexico has projected a 27% cut in science and post-gradate research funding this year, as I have learnt last night at the local pub from an European colleague who, like me, still loves Mexico (in this case, no web reliable source can be given - they all echo Trump's cuts in neighbour USA). So, is there some nation in the world that does not cut research funding this year? I am, we all are very curious to know!
